The Potala Palace, Lasa, Tibet, China.

The Potala Palace has a history of 1300 years. It was built because of the marriage of the dominator of Tibet and a princess in 7th century.
In 17th century, the palace was restabished. And after that, the palace is the living place and office place for the successive Dalai Lamas who are the leaders in Tibet.

There are extremely plentiful cultural relics stored in the Potala Palace. One of the most important of the relics is the tower tomb of Dalai Lama. There is one tower tomb wrapped with 3721 kg gold and it is decorated with 15,000 pieces’ pearls, agates and gemstones.

The Potala Palace is the most holy place for Tibet people, every year there are lots of people come to pray here.
